Meet Vanessa Olsen, proud writer living in Waterloo, Ontario with her affectionate cat, Nellie. She graduated from Ryerson’s esteemed Faculty of Nursing at the spring of 2010 and now functions as a sports coach. As a young child, Vanessa was known in her hometown of Gilford, Ontario for growing her own vegetables in the garden and captaining many different sports clubs. It's no wonder that she grew as much as the health nut she is while assisting others with her health nut knowledge.
Her job requires patience and a lot of research. Every day, Vanessa teaches athletes on unique areas of diet, nutrition, and exercise. Each athlete is very particular, having distinct lifestyles, eating habits, training schedules, medications and nutritional supplements. This goes without saying that her favourite room in the house is the kitchen. She has a passion for creating and preparing her own home-grown, nutritious recipes – a lot of which can be discovered throughout her novels!
Vanessa’s occupation allows for lots of holiday days that she places towards her infamous solo trips. Vanessa almost always travels exclusively as she says it helps her clear her mind and get back to her roots. Her solo trips have seen the likes of Cuba, Florida, Germany, France, Spain, and Britain. She's lately become curious to find out what her own backyard has to offer, also has spent the last few years yanking a map of Ontario and arranging a couple days away when she gets the opportunity. She hopes to retire into a
