Teresa Garland

Teresa Garland is an occupational therapist, author, trainer and clinician specializing in self-regulation methods for children and adults. Her first publication, Self-Regulation Interventions and Strategies: Keeping the Body, Mind and Emotions with ADHD, Autism and Sensory Disorders, won a 2014 Benjamin Franklin Silver Medal. Her second book, Hands-On Tasks for Children with Autism & Sensory Disorders, has over two hundred new interventions and contains 100 pages of crafts, rowing routines that are in-class and the Environmental Enrichment protocol to appease the senses. Teresa’s workshops cover a variety of subjects in self-regulation in adults and kids and have been attended by thousands of teachers and therapists.

Teresa resides with her husband, psychotherapist and writer, Peter Michaelson, near Ann Arbor.

Produced in 1948 at Toledo, Ohio, Elaine Moore has 5 brothers, including her brother Bob. Elaine graduated from the University of Toledo with B.S. in Medical Technology. She attended graduate school at the University of Colorado before moving to Idaho.

Elaine worked at clinical labs in Colorado, Idaho, and Ohio for more than 35 years. Elaine primarily functioned from the Toxicology department, where she functioned for a NIDA lab as a certifying official and developed several procedures. Elaine retired by the lab in 2009 and now functions as an advisor for Mylabtesting.com.

Elaine's goal in writing medical novels is to empower patients and foster using integrative medicine.
