Lisa Meeks

Dr. Lisa Meeks is the Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of Medical Student Disability Services at The University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.

She consults with medical care programs throughout the country (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing) helping develop advanced procedures of inclusion and accessibility. Dr. Meeks specializes in disability as a form of diversity; culturally competent education; and professional communication. She is especially adept in clinical accommodations, in both hospital and hospital settings, and is your co-founder and president elect of the Coalition for Disability Access in Health, Science and Medical Education

Dr. Meeks has established technical trainings to the Federal Government (DOD), the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), the Association of Higher Education and Disabilities (AHEAD), and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). She has helped shaped the future of health science instruction for pupils with disabilities. The country's top private, governmental, and educational institutions recognize her experience.

Her main contribution, however, is being a parent. She's the mom of amazing adult children and two dynamic and one big dog. She splits her time between also the East Coast, CA along with San Francisco.
