Bethanie Hestermann

Josh and Bethanie Hestermann have been co-authors of Zoology for children, a science and activity book for children ages 9 and up. Josh is a marine-mammal keeper and trainer at the Aquarium of the Pacific. He has worked as a marine-mammal keeper and coach at Brookfield Zoo and as a presenter, keeper, along with teacher at Phoenix Zoo. He's led research excursions to research wild California Sea Lions at Mexico and engaged in the Chicago Zoological Society's Sarasota Dolphin Research Program in Sarasota Bay, Florida. Bethanie is a freelance writer who is enthusiastic about wildlife and the natural world. She volunteers at the Aquarium of the Pacific in which she will help educate guests about marine life and sea conservation. They reside in Southern California.

Roger Priddy

Roger Priddy is the founder of more than two hundred best selling books for young kids such as Wipe Clean ABC, First 100 Words, and Fuzzy Bee.

When he was at college he could not decide between being a patisserie chef or going to art school. On the recommendation of his dad he picked art school and educated as an illustrator before becoming a designer at Usborne Publishing.

Roger's love for children's early learning has led him to create some of their most successful children's non-fiction books, first at Dorling Kindersley (My First Word Book, Incredible Cross Sections and My First Cook Book) until he founded Priddy Books using St. Martins Press in New York where a number of his novels have sold over a million copies every including First 100 Times, My Big Animal Book and Happy Baby Words.

In total he has sold over 65 million books worldwide and his novels are translated into over 30 languages.

He states "It is always rewarding to see that a kid learning and enjoying something from a few of our novels, particularly the babies when you think it may be the very first book they have ever observed.

I am quite lucky to have a career where you get to think of fun ways to teach a child how to compose their letters and find out their first words whilst learning about Dinosaurs at precisely the identical moment!"
