Jordan Reid grew up in nyc, studied cognitive neuroscience at Harvard University, also worked as an actress for more than a decade before turning her focus to her true passions - style, beauty, entertaining, home décor, and DIY - by creating the lifestyle site RamshackleGlam.com. She's the writer of Ramshackle Glam: The New Mother's Haphazard Guide To (Almost) Having It All, Carrying On: Design, Decor and Much More For Your Nervous New Mom, both by Perseus Books, and The Big Fat Activity Book For Pregnant Folks, cowritten with Erin Williams and coming from Penguin Random House in Spring 2017.

Reid was known as "a celebrity of the post-expertise how-to landscape" by The New York Observer, also Ramshackle Glam (www.ramshackleglam.com) was deemed a "survival guide for people who don't have a clue how to become domestic" by the Daily Beast. In a characteristic on Ramshackle Glam, Time Magazine wrote, "Of all of the changes wrought by social networking, few emphasize the reach of the individual like the growth of Reid."

Reid has conceptualized, styled and implemented nationwide campaigns for businesses including Dove, TJ Maxx, DKNY, Simple Skincare, and Ecco Domani, also has appeared in a Wide Array of publications and websites, such as InStyle, New York Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and The Nest. She has talked at beauty and fashion events across the nation, hosted two seasons of the Meredith Video Studios-produced home decor show Jordan At The home, and hosted two set of a beauty-focused series for Allure Magazine.

Reid currently resides in the Bay Area with her husband, their two kids, and both dogs.
