I started repping artists in 1986 in San Francisco. I met artists who desired to be repped as I trekked the sidewalk to introduce my group of five musicians to art professionals and business owners. Realizing I could not rep all of them, which they had to know to do it themselves, I began composing reports on topics of art advertising. These finally developed into a book, A Handbook for Artists that became Art Marketing 101 after several revises. I started traveling the country giving marketing conventions to art. I chose to obtain some writers on a few more art-related small business topics. We have six novels that ArtNetwork publishes.
