D. L. McDermott is your pen name of TV author Donna Thorland. Donna was increased at Bergenfield, New Jersey, studied Classics and Art History at Yale, and after college worked at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts, in which she managed architecture and interpretation and composed and produced the Witch City's most popular Halloween festival. Donna later studied in the USC School of Cinematic Arts along with her short films have been featured Ain't It Cool News and shown internationally and on PBS. She is currently working as a writer in the WGN drama, SALEM. Donna is married with 2 cats and divides her time between Los Angeles and the actual Salem.
