Dan Gookin has been writing about technology for over 20 years. He combines his love of writing to produce books that are amusing, educational, and not boring. Maybe his most famous name is the first DOS For Dummies, released in 1991. It became the world's fastest-selling computer publication, at once transferring more copies each week compared to New York Times #1 bestseller (even though a reference, it could not be listed on the NYT Bestseller list). From that book spawned the whole lineup of For Dummies books, which stays a publishing happenings for this day.

Dan's many Well-known titles comprise PCs For Dummies Word For instance, Laptops For Dummies, and Droid X For Dummies. In addition, he maintains the huge and useful website, www.wambooli.com.

Dan holds a degree in Communications/Visual Arts from the University of California, San Diego. Presently, he lives in the Pacific Northwest, while they see the forests of Idaho, where he enjoys spending time with his sons playing video games indoors.
