David Asher is an organic farmer, farmstead cheese maker and cheese instructor dependent on the gulf islands of British Columbia, Canada. Even a guerrilla cheesemaker, David will not make cheese according to industrial philosophies - that he investigates high tech methods of cheesemaking.
David provides cheese outreach to communities near and far with the Black Sheep School of Cheesemaking. Through workshops in partnership with associations, he shares his own cheesemaking style that is different. His workshops teach a method that is suited to artisanal production or the house kitchen, as natural, DIY. He's the author of The Art of Natural Cheesemaking.
