Debra Prinzing is a Seattle- and - outdoor living expert who writes and lectures on gardens and house design. She has a background in textiles, journalism, landscape design and horticulture. A speaker to get horticultural society garden and flower display crowds, Debra is also a normal radio and television guest.
Her six novels include "The 50 Mile Bouquet: Seasonal, Local and Sustainable Flowers" (St. Lynn's Press, 2012); Garden Writers Association Gold Award-winning "Stylish Sheds and Elegant Hideaways" (Clarkson-Potter/Random House, 2008) and "The Abundant Garden" (2005). Her newest book, "SLOW FLOWERS: Four Seasons of Locally Grown Bouquets in the Garden, Meadow and Farm," will soon be published February 1, 2013. It includes the floral designs, photography and writing of Debra.
Debra is a contributing garden editor for Better Homes & Gardens and her feature stories on design and architecture appear regularly in the Los Angeles Times' Home section. She's also a contributing editor for Garden Design magazine also writes for best shield and consumer books, including Nation Gardens, Horticulture, Fine Gardening, Organic Gardening, Cottages & Bungalows, Metropolitan Home, Landscape Architecture, Sunset, Alaska Airlines Magazine, Old House Interiors, Seattle Homes & Lifestyles and Romantic Homes, Amongst Others.
