Allen Morris Jones
Writer of an acclaimed book, "Last Year's Lake" (Houghton Mifflin), an extremely influential consideration of the integrity of hunting, "A Quiet Place of Violence," and also co-editor, with William Kittredge, of "The Greatest of Montana’s Short Fiction," Allen Morris Jones (1970 - ) is also the writer of over one hundred printed short stories, articles, essays, and poems. During his career in publishing, he's functioned as acquisitions editor to your Lyons Press and as writer of his own little press, Bangtail Press. He's emerged on the Jim Lehrer NewsHour as a guest essayist, lectured to the Outdoor Writer’s Association of America, also seen rave reviews of his work look on “The Today Show” and also at the "LA Times," "People" magazine, "Publisher’s Weekly," "Booklist," and lots of others. Currently editor of the journal "Big Sky Journal," Jones resides in Montana with his wife and young son.
