Douglas A. Blackmon

A native of Leland, Mississippi, Doug Blackmon is seat of a correspondent to the Washington Post and the Miller Center Forum at the University of Virginia.
For several years, he had been the Wall Street Journal's Atlanta Bureau Chief and then senior national correspondent. "Slavery by Another Name" had been awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 2009, among many other honors. Blackmon along with a team of editors and WSJ reporters were finalists for the following Pulitzer Prize at 2010 for their research into the causes of this BP oil spill from the Gulf of Mexico this year.
He resides in Atlanta.
