Dorothy Cannell Reviews
Dorothy was born in Nottingham, England and came to the U.S. at 1963. She married Julian Cannell and they lived from 1965 to 2004, in Peoria, Illinois. They then moved to Maine in which they live with their two dogs, Teddy along with Watson.
Dorothy became an aspiring author after taking English 110 at Illinois Central College and being invited to write for publication by the course instructor. She sold her first short story.
Her first book, The Thin Woman printed in 1984 has been chosen as one of the 100 favorite mysteries of the Twentieth Century from the Mystery Book Sellers of America. From Malice Domestic, Dorothy received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014. Dorothy has released eighteen books and a selection of short stories.
