Elizabeth Edmondson Reviews
I write ancient mysteries whom I like to phone Vintage Mysteries, because they are put from the nineteen-thirties, forties and fifties.
They are tales of marriage, love, friendship and families, in which the loyalties, feuds, secrets and betrayals of the past cast long shadows to the gift.
I am fascinated by personalities that are quirky, mysterious, funny, bizarre and interesting and I want readers to share, as I do, in their joys and sorrows.
With dramatic and glamorous settings from icy lakes to Italian villas, from wintry Budapest to fashionable France, from Cornwall into the Lake District, the landscapes are as strong as the tales are complex.
The tense realities of life mingle with unnatural components : ghosts, prophetic voices and visions from the past, but humor and fun also dance in and out from the darkness and light of the tales.
My aim is to enthrall, happiness and entertain readers as they are transported to a different age.
A review published by a writer stated my novels take you out of their everyday planet and also make the impossible seem possible--that's just what I want them to do.
My novels are translated into many languages and printed in many unique countries.
I was born in Chile, have lived in India and Italy and now live at Oxford, where I moved to college--and in which I have taken up bell-ringing.
I also write as Elizabeth Aston; please visit my other author page and have a look at those books.
