Widowed at 34 I took to writing children's books to be able to help other young kids and their families to come to terms of a (sudden) death in their own family.
I would describe myself as a young widow for Martin, Mummy to Alex and Olivia, happily re-married into John (and actually a 'Thompson' now, no more a 'Barber'), step-mummy to Jodie, Lauren, Nicole, Leanna and Rhiana, lover of children's novels and all things childish, self explanatory graphic designer, public speaker, and breast cancer survivor (fingers crossed) and enthused about assisting young bereaved children and their households.
