I have been an elementary school teacher in both urban and rural school districts. All of my degrees are in Teachers College, Columbia University. I am a Professor Emeritus of Education at CSU, San Bernardino in which I taught program and social research methods and instruction courses and supervised interns and student teachers. I had been the liaison to the Hillside-University Demonstration School, also a cooperation within its eighteenth year. Along with numerous conference presentations and journal posts, I am that the co-author of three source books, Pathways to Poetry, and the author of 3 books to assist beginning teachers through their first year of instruction: Beyond Student Teaching and Your First Year of Teaching and Beyond, 4th edition. My newest book is that the Teacher's Guide to Success. It provides a balance of practice and theory research in a structure that is engaing and insures k-12.
