An ember is a delicate thing. It's ephemeral glow can be unexpectedly extinguished leaving just a wisp of smoke as if a small spirit were escaping this world. Utilizing traditional techniques this purpose of combustion requires skill and effort to create. Materials must be assembled and prepared. Even the air has to maintain cooperation. Then intellect, will, and body have been placed on the point of exhaustion to energize a spot of warmth and light .

The attractiveness of the coal is located in its limitless potential. From this singular spark it could be nurtured into a roaring fire. Though from humble beginnings, that flame has enabled humanity to thrive with this world and even now propels us.
