Francis Mondimore, MD, is Associate Professor in Psychiatry at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Associate Medical Director at the Department of Psychiatry at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He finished his residency and obtained his medical degree from Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Mondimore is the author of five novels for general audiences about emotional health issues, which have been translated into seven languages. They include Bipolar Disorder, A Guide for Patients and Families, and, with co-author Patrick Kelly, M.D., Borderline Personality Disorder, New Reasons for Hope, both by the Johns Hopkins University Press. He is now on the faculty editorial board from the Johns Hopkins University Press and has authored scientific articles and numerous book chapters. Besides his consumer education work, Dr. Mondimore is interested in creating best practices guidelines for treating mood disorders.
