Andres Pelenur was meditating and studying yogic scriptures for more than twenty decades. He's the creator of the Mahās,āra School of Meditation and also a disciple of the great saint Bhagawan Nityananda of Ganeshpuri (1897–1961), having been initiated directly by Bhagawan in what is termed sankalpa Idīkshā (initiation during the will of a Guru). Andres received mantra Idīkshā (initiation into account) from Gurumayi Chidvilasananda and received training in various yogic disciplines at her ashram in South Fallsburg, New York. He has traveled extensively throughout India, working in a lot of ashrams including Bhagawan’s ashram in Kanhangad, Kerala, also in Ganeshpuri, Maharashtra. Andres holds a BA in English from McGill University and a JD.
