Andreas Weigend is a specialist on large information technologies, and customer behaviour, the combination of which he calls the info revolution. He was the chief scientist in Amazon, where he helped produce the culture of invention, experimentation, and information of that company.
He's the founder and director of the Social Data Lab, a mentor at Stanford's StartX, and also a lecturer at UC Berkeley. His clients include the World Economic Forum, BMW, Deutsche Telekom, GE Lufthansa Tencent, along with Alibaba.
He obtained his PhD in mathematics from Stanford and currently lives in San Francisco, Shanghai, and on weigend.com.
