Chef/Owner Andy Husbands attracts over 30 decades of experience and a reputation among Boston’s most celebrated culinary pros to the kitchen at the Smoke Shop, his most recent restaurant situated in Cambridge, MA. Making its introduction the barbecue destination pays homage to his background at the competitive barbecue circuit also culminates #x Husbands & 2019 achievement as an award-winning pit master. The Smoke Shop showcases outdated grill using a twist, including staples like Brisket Pulled Pork, Fried Chicken, Hot Links and much more.
Long prior to becoming a top influencer in the food arena, the Seattle native got his start in the industry working at a headquartered at Needham, MA. He chose to pursue his passion in Johnson & Wales University where he graduated with degrees in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management and proceeded to work at Cambridge’s cherished East Coast Grill, operating beneath the helm of Award-Winning Chef and his Mentor Chris Schlesinger. On a travel, Husbands set out in 1995 finding a new kind of love for meals like working in San Francisco restaurants that were renowned and living in a farm in New Mexico.
Husband’s returned to the city of Boston to embark on his own venture in 1996 by launching community bistro Tremont647 and later, Sister Sorel. It was during this time that he started developing his own distinctive style of cooking through daring and bold tastes now, that guests may experience at any one of the restaurants.
