Her storytelling travel began in pre-teen decades. Soon afterwards came several awards for short stories with fantasy themes, before expanding this genre into books. She was a finalist in the Next Generation Indie Book awards at 2015.
In the past ten years, Gemma's writing pursuits have turned towards the outcome of warfare. Having researched the topic of war over many years, as well as growing up with loved ones who experienced war actions, she gravitated towards historical fiction set during WWII.
