George G. Morgan started his genealogical odyssey at the age of 9 when his 88-year-old paternal grandmother said, "You're the last of the grandma, and you are going to learn about our Revolutionary War ancestors." They spent drawing a family tree and consulting Bibles and initial documents. The community librarian in his hometown of Madison, North Carolina, was part of the DAR, and she mentored a few of his study. Those experiences changed he believed about geography, history, and social studies by encouraging him to think about the impacts onto his own forebears and their roles in the events of their times.

He is president of Aha! Seminars, Inc., and a globally recognized genealogy expert who presents at the U.S., Canada, England, on cruise ships, and webinars. He co-host of this Genealogy GuysSM Podcast, the longest running podcast that is genealogical, with tens of thousands of listeners around the world, and is a teacher for the Ancestry Academy.

George is the prolific, award-winning writer of hundreds of articles for magazines, journals, newsletters, in genealogical publications, and in online websites internationally. His twelfth book, the fourth version "How to Do Everything: Genealogy", was released in January 2015. He has won writing awards from the Association of Professional Genealogists and the International Society of Family History Writers and Editors. He co-authored the publication, "Advanced Genealogy Research Techniques" with Drew Smith, and quickly turned into a runaway bestseller from the united kingdom. He's composed Quick Sheets about genealogy for Genealogical Publishing Company and Moorshead Magazines. He's a regular author for the Association of Professional Genealogists Quarterly, Family Tree Magazine, Internet Genealogy, along with Your Genealogy Today (previously Family Chronicle).
