Anna V. Zulaica
Anna V. Zulaica is a chef, a nutrition instructor, accredited Holistic Nutrition Advisor and works in Silicon Valley at the Food & Beverage Industry. A daughter into a Mexican mother and Basque dad, Anna was raised close to the Mexican-American border and has traveled all around the world, where she has been subjected to a broad range of cuisines. Anna has traveled into the Basque country to visit with family, where she learned to cook genuine Basque dishes with fresh ingredients from local villages. She also traveled to Florence, Italy, where she chose a culinary course on Italian cuisine, wine and the Mediterranean diet. She also spent time with the organic farm in Tuscany carbonated organic, vegan sandwiches, pastries, and biscotti in a wood-fired oven. She also started and ran her own organic, healthful catering firm offerings seasonal menu items which was teaching healthy cooking and nutrition workshops in English and Spanish for both nonprofits and rehab facilities for the past eight decades.
Anna's recipes have been published from The Antioxidant Counter: A Pocket Guide to the Revolutionary ORAC Scale for Choosing Healthy Foods, and she has co-authored three novels: The DASH Diet Cookbook: Quick and Delicious Recipes to Losing Weight, Preventing Diabetes, also Lowering Blood Pressure, along with The Low GI Slow Cooker: Delicious and Easy Recipes Made Healthy together with the Glycemic Index, and also The Matcha Miracle: Boost Energy, Focus and Health with Matcha Green Tea Powder. Her job is to teach people that healthy eating and cooking CAN be delicious and that eating healthy is NOT being on a diet plan, it's a lifestyle we should all follow. She is also passionate in food security, access to healthy, fresh foods, and supporting local food programs that return to the community and the surroundings.
