Born in a little city in north central Oregon, H. L. Burke spent most of her youth around trees and farm animals and was accompanied by a publication. Growing up to epic heroes in Middle Earth and Narnia keeping her business, she became an incurable romantic.

A addictive character, she jumped from one fandom to another, being occasionally entirely obsessed with various books, films, or television show (Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and Star Trek took their turns), but she has grown to be what she considers a yearlong connoisseur of geek culture.

Married to her high school crush who is presently a US Marine, she's transferred multiple times in her adult life however believes that home is where her husband, two daughters, and pets are.

She is the writer of a four character fantasy/romance series entitled "The Dragon and the Scholar," YA/Fantasy "Beggar Magic," along with MG/Fantasy "Thaddeus Whiskers and the Dragon," among others . Her current projects are a youthful adult Steampunk dream and also an epic fantasy trilogy.
