Born in Rome, Italy, Anna Carpenter grew up on the island of Capri and attended college in Naples, the birthplace of pizza. Living in Southern Italy ignited her passion for cooking in wood-fired ovens. Anna afterwards moved into an olive farm in Tuscany, where she ready many meals at the old beachfront and private wood-burning ovens that are a staple of Italian cooking.
Currently living in California, Anna is the owner of Los Angeles Ovenworks, a little company that imports handcrafted wood-fired ovens from Italy. You can often see her at her backyard kitchen, baking in her oven and enjoying delicious meals with family and friends.
