Holly Raus is an avid dog lover and an advocate of children's literacy during her volunteer work. Her golden retriever along with she, Ben really are a Pet Partners team enrolled boosting the Human-Animal Health Association®. She has hosted weekly reading programs where kids practice reading to Ben in a non invasive, supportive and enjoyable atmosphere.

Based on a 10 week study performed by the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, students aged 7 to 12 who read aloud to pets increased reading fluency by 30%. Others, Iowa Health Home Care and ABC News confirm the advantages of reading to pets for kids. Ben and Holly see nursing homes, adult day care centers, children's bereavement camps, present to societies and boy scout troops, and look as a therapy team at family autism conventions and health sidewalks.

Her “Tales for Tails” children’s library program has led her to a career as a library staff member. “Ben: The Best Best Furry Friend”, #x 2019 a playful and educational children &;s narrative, is her first book. The folks Ben and she have fulfilled through their volunteer visits motivated it. Holly resides near Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire with Ben, two children and her husband.
