Dr Irving Reti is a Researcher at The Johns Hopkins University.Dr Reti heralds from Sydney, Australia where he finished medical school in the University of Sydney before coming to Johns Hopkins for psychiatry residency. After finishing a post-doctoral fellowship he established. He is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Neuroscience and is Director of Your Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Agency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He based The Brain Stimulation Program at Johns Hopkins in 2008 that has an active preclinical and clinical research program in addition to offering specialization consultation and therapy with brain stimulation treatment modalities including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Research concentrates on TMS and its application in diverse populations including patients with traumatic brain injury. Dr Reti directs treatments to care ECT for patients he has treated with who remain reliant to suppress this behaviour, in addition to a laboratory investigating aspects of synaptic plasticity linked to brain stimulation.
