My nose had been buried in novels when I was a child. The habit never fades. By the time I entered into seminary, I fell in love with biographies. Obtaining a master's level crammed full of missions history and church history enabled me to read story after story of excellent men who influenced the history and church.

The narratives I browse stuck with me. At the identical time, I was watching a world in which the definition of masculinity was shifting with pace. Ideas of a feeling of duty and men with hearts have become antiques of an immaterial era.

I could not stand it. This motion couple together with guys from ages past's tales inspired me to write Living Like Lions. The publication is a challenge for anybody who reads it, partially because the stories of the men in chronicles are inspirational and partially because those mens 'lives' relevance has become renewed in the face of changing times.

I expect that men gain a renewed sense of purpose and courage through this book. And I hope that, as the years pass, I shall be aware of the good so that the terrific men can invite within the hearts of those generations who will accompany me.
