James M. Morgan Reviews

Dr. James Morgan is President, Emc Group, a research and consulting firm specializing in engineering management and lean product/process development. Before founding Emc, Dr. Morgan has been Director, Global Body Exterior, Safety and Stamping Engineering for Ford Motor Company during it is product directed revitalization under Alan Mulally. He had been Vice President, Troy Design and Manufacturing Company, a tier one automotive supplier of technology services, prototypes, tools, and volume production.

Dr. Morgan holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from The University of Michigan where his study on lean product growth was awarded a Shingo Prize. He is co-author of this award winning publication, "The Toyota Product Development System" and many articles on product development. Along with his almost 30 decades of business expertise, Dr. Morgan has taught graduate classes on lean manufacturing at the University of Michigan, and is a frequent guest lecturer on product development at several leading flight engineering schools in addition to the Lean Enterprise Institute.
