James D. Baird, Ph.D. has over forty decades of experience as a successful graduate and journalist scientist. A leader in the new science of ultrasonics, Baird has made several patents and a successful entrepreneur based Dynasonics, Inc.. A design and manufacturing company of computers and sensors.

His inventor history instilled in him a persistent curiosity about how things work, translating out of mechanisms to life. His passion for knowing the bioengineering which makes us coupled with his spiritual and spiritual beliefs has led him to research the subject of happiness for at least 20 decades, and in the process, earned him a Ph.D. in Natural Health.

He was also the creator of "Happiness Ministries," a not-for-profit ministry which produced inspiring texts. His first two novels, The Happiness Plan (Liquori, 1990) as well as The Modern Christian's Happiness Plan (Wine Press 1999) are based upon the assumption that joy comes from philosophical ethics and behavioral choices that put into actions such spiritual qualities as loving-kindness and compassion. . Baird was involved with many organizations including; churches nursing homes and institutions. He was chairman of Catholic Charities for around 8 decades. Dr. Baird is currently chairman of a Chicago chapter of the American Scientific Association, a national professional association whose members are scientists who believe in God. The company's mission is to bring harmony to religion and science.

As a pure health advocate with an inventor's interest, he had been intrigued with the paradox that "diets do not work" In an effort to discover the motives and supply an answer, he composed his third book, The Mindful Meals Diet (iUniverse 2007), that explained how genetic factors will be the cornerstone of unhealthy eating habits which lead individuals to become overweight.
