Janie Chodosh

As an undergraduate at the University of Michigan, I majored in “all things” a record which included classes. After school I moved to Yosemite National Park in which I learned to rock climb back country ski, and entertain myself with only a path, a field guide, and a pair of binoculars and was employed as a naturalist and educator. As a grad student at the Universitys research program, the listing of “all things interesting” enlarged to add Spanish and ecological education. For my thesis, I traveled to a rural community on the coast of Oaxaca, Mexico to develop an environmental education program focusing on neo-tropical migratory songbirds (a fancy title for birds which breed in the north and west south of the boundary). At age thirty, I proceeded to work a teacher and later as Audubon Society.

Although I didn’t publish my first book before the key age of someplace past young, I have always been a writer. (In case you neglect’t believe me just take a look at the boxes and boxes of stories, diaries, poems, plays, and random thoughts I've written since I could first hold a pencil). I am a scientist wannabe, but because I realized I just wished to muck about in the area in trendy areas and would never be a scientist, I married you.

If not writing, I love to hang out with my loved ones, rock climbing, try to grow a garden at the arid southwest, bird watch, traveling, and make an effort to play Klezmer music in my violin.
