Jason Logsdon

My name is Jason Logsdon and I am particularly in regards to cooking a passionate home cook who loves to try new things. But, I am not the type of cook who loves looking out "experiments" just to see what functions. I'd much rather take current knowledge, down it to concepts, and use it for my own cooking.

I find it quite rewarding to facilitate emerging cooking technology from the domain of the professional chef to the kitchen of the cooking enthusiast. I realized this first with sous vide cooking where I made a website, CookingSousVide.com (Now incorporated into ModernistCookingMadeEasy.com), and wrote five books that have assisted in bringing sous vide cooking into the kitchens of ten tens of thousands of passionate cooks.

Then I addressed the increasingly popular developments in modernist cooking. Here I consider it to the nearly mystical technology of gastronomy and introduce . Once more I have produced a website, ModernistCookingMadeEasy.com, also written a novel, Modernist Cooking Made Easy: Getting Started, that does not try to describe the science of modernist cooking, but rather concentrates on how these new techniques and ingredients can be utilized to produce dishes with completely new flavors, aromas, textures and visual appeal. The recipes range from ones who can amaze readers' buddies to a different that will allow it to be simpler and quicker to make flavorful gravy.

My second novel, Modernist Cooking Made Easy: The Whipping Siphon, focuses on possibly the most versatile tool in the modernist cooking arsenal. Couple it with some methods that are cooking that are modernist and you can create.
