Jay founded EggGeothermal to provide HVAC systems. Because of the American Retrieval and Reinvestment Act of 2009, EggGeothermal entered into a new age of acceptance.

Jay currently focuses his professional attempts as a renewable energy expert on geothermal energy utility efforts, solar/geothermal exchange implementation, consulting, and aquifer related environmental problems, permitting, feasibility and variances of geo-exchange wells and engineering, writing, and speaking engagements. Among his clients are global, federal, local and state authorities, developers, associations, and private things.

EggGeothermal is currently a voting member on the IGSHPA Advocacy Committee, the Uniform Solar Energy & Hydronics Technical Committee for the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Professionals (IAPMO); instruction and program writer/facilitator for both IGSHPA and for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and technical advisor to the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) on renewable heating and cooling.
