Jerry Jennings Reviews

Jerry Jennings started his musical career by performing in local bands and touring overseas. From the early 80's, he decided to begin a recording studio Company (Logic Surge Music) using the ever so popular Fostex 4 track recorder. During this time period he got his AA in music and continued writing originals, and married his wife Jane. He released his first three instrumental jazz/rock/fusion CD's entitled "The Good portion of a Pencil," "Evidence of Humanity," and the most recently published cd made by Ronnie Montrose, "Shortcut to the Center". These titles are available at CD Baby.
In 1994, out of pure necessity, Jerry composed his first book "The Guitarist's Link to Sight Reading", the #1 Guide to Recognizing Studio Charts. He had to become fluent in reading graphs to become a hired studio musician and there was not anything on the market for established players that didn't understand how to read music (a lot of self taught guitarist' out there could easily use this publication). After getting good reviews on his design and functioning person's sense, he decided to team up well know local gift, Erik Kleven, also write "The Bassist's Link to Sight Reading." He did this again with Ken Ballinger for "The Drummer's Link to Sight Reading" with the identical concept. With these names picked up by Music Sales Publishing Company, he then ventured off to writing "Classic Rock Rudiments for Lead Guitar" and eventually "Guitar 1 Start Outside Jammin'". All five of those books consist of original compositions on Cd or DVD. After the contract was first up with Music Earnings, Jerry and his bride chose to carry on the publishing responsibilities themselves. Jane does the design, cover design, accounting, shipping, marketing, promotion, and website development. Together, along with their daughter Julia they operate Jennings Publishing Company.
