Jim Heskett Reviews
Jim Heskett was created from the wilds of Oklahoma, increased by a pack of wolves using a station wagon and a membership card to the regional swimming pool. The same as the guy in the John Denver song, he moved to Colorado and never return.
He fell in love with composing in Age fourteen with a copy of Stephen King's The Shining. Poetry became his very first socket for angst, then some screenplays, and eventually, short fiction and he also writes in the game industry. In between, he worked a couple of professions that hasn't ever forgotten about Stephen King, and not tickled his feet. You can find him huddled over a laptop for an undisclosed place in Colorado, dreaming up ways to kill characters.
He composes award-winning noir mysteries and thrillers (like Dennis Lehane or Elmore Leonard), with a dash of snark chucked in for good measure.
His publication Wounded Animals is a 2015 finalist for Foreword Reviews thriller of this year
His publication Nailgun Messiah is the winner of this 2016 eLit silver medal from the mystery/thriller category
