John Montague Reviews
John Montague is Professor Emeritus at the State University of New York College at Buffalo. He had been formally educated in architectural history ( Ph.D.. University of Wisconsin, 1974) and was active in developing the field of Design History. He has worked as boatbuilder, and a designer, filmmaker, animator, illustrator, architectural preservationist. He is coauthor /illustrator of 2 boatbuilding publications that are hot: Building the Weekend Skiff and Constructing the Six Hour Canoe. He was also cofounder and manager of the Buffalo Maritime Center, devoted to the preservation and restoration of historic watercraft. Along with boat design he is a part of the American Society of Marine Artists, focusing on maritime painting and illustration.
