John Parra is good art writer, designer, instructor, and an award-winning illustrator. His kids’s books have earned a Lot of awards, such as the SCBWI Golden Kite Awards Pura Belpré Honors, the Christopher Award, the International Latino Book Award, and a Lot More. His case customers are included: United Airlines, The United States Postal Service, Hitachi Data Systems, Jeep/DaimlerChrysler, National Geographic, PBS, El Museo del Barrio, Boston Children’s Hospital, Chronicle Books, Penguin Random House, SCBWI, Santa Clara Magazine, Virgin Records and more. Parra’s first artwork has been showcased and also displayed in museum exhibitions and many gallery shows in New York, California, and through the USA and abroad. Many of his fine art paintings reside with private collectors. Back in 2015 John was invited by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to introduce a distinctive event about his job and career in art and illustration; and at 2017 John’s art will appear on six postal stamps by the USPS titled “Delicioso. ” He lives New York, at Queens, with his wife, Maria.
