Jonathan McMillan is a pseudonym. Behind it stand two writers, both experienced in the world of economics and finance. One works in the investment banking division of a global bank. He's a financial expert who enjoys nothing more than digging through system flowcharts, balance sheets, and transaction data. He has gained first-hand insights. The End of Banking is released under a pseudonym, to protect the identity of this writer.

Another author has chosen an academic path. Always eager to learn, he earned two bachelor's degrees, one in one and economics in global relations. He also holds an M.Phil. In economics in the University of Cambridge and a PhD in economics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH Zurich. In his research, he researched the effect of banking and banking law on macroeconomic stability and welfare. He is now an economics editor the newspaper of record, in Neue Zürcher Zeitung.
