Julie Creffield is currently a writer, project manager and entrepreneur in Stratford in East London. She also has a sharp eye for a hot job or a humorous angle to your story and has lived for the majority of her lifetime at the East End of London.
She says "I've always been a writer. Until the teachers realised exactly what I do, I used to replicate the letters and gave me a book to replicate from rather. I evolved to keeping diaries and writing short stories in my teens simply to create my instructors laugh and my mum worry. Twenty years later I still have not shook off my urge to compose".
Julie has had a lively working lifetime as a theatre usher, salad packer, barmaid, youth arts employee, cultural mind and trainer. She has spent the last 8 decades however working in various capacities on the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games that took place literally yards from where she lives with her fiancé Fabian (who is also a writer) and young daughter Rose.
Julie is famous for her humerous writing about the difficulties facing plus sized runners and is the brains behind the prosperous blog www.thefatgirlsguidetorunning.com, in which she affirms plus sized runners from throughout the Earth, but she is also a freelance writer, and short story writer too.
Last Orders is a collection of short stories she is writing at the moment inspired by the figures she's met along the way in East London and is due out in Spring 2014
