Juliet Blackwell was born and raised from Texas, the youngest son of a jet pilot in an editor and New York in the San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated with a degree in Latin American Studies at University of California, Santa Cruz, and went on to earn Masters degrees in Anthropology and Social Work in the State University of New York. While in school she published a few articles based on her research with immigrant families from Mexico and Viet Nam, and a single translation: Miguel León-#x 2019 & Portilla;s work, Endangered Cultures. Juliet was producer for a BBC documentary about Vietnamese children left behind by US soldiers, educated Medical Anthropology at SUNY-Albany, and functioned as an elementary school social worker in rural New York. She ran historical renovation her decorative painting, and design studio for more than a couple of years and became a professional artist. Besides mainstream books, Juliet pens the Haunted Home Renovation series and the New York Times Bestselling Witchcraft Mysteries. As Hailey Lind she wrote #x 2019 & the Agatha-Award nominated Art Lover;s Mystery Collection. She is president of Northern California Sisters in Crime and former board member of Mystery Writers of America. Juliet lives in a hundred-year-old home with extensive botanical gardens in Northern California, however, spends as much time as possible. She believes in the magic of traveling, language, and market to start hearts, minds, and spirits.
