Julie McElwain is a national award-winning journalist. Her first book, A Murder Back in Time, was among the top 10 picks from the National Librarian Association for the April 2016 publication list, and was selected as the puzzle to read in 2016 from OverDrive Inc., an electronic distributor serving over 34,000 libraries across the globe. The publication was also a finalist for the 2016 Goodreads’ viewers choice awards in the Sci-fi group, also created Bustle’listing of 9 Most Addictive Mystery string for 2017.

A Murder Back in Time was optioned for television/movie development.

A Twist In Time, a sequel to A Murder Back in Time, was released in April, also has been chosen by the National Librarian Association for its April 2017 book list.


McElwain is a native of North Dakota, and a graduate of NDSU. She now lives in Long Beach, CA, but continues to cheer on her alma mater & #x 2019; s soccer team, the NDSU Bison since cold should be experienced and fly home for Christmas.
