Julie Barton includes a B.A. in English Literature in Kenyon College, an M.F.A. in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and also a M.A. in Women's Studies from Southern Connecticut State University.
She has been published in Brain Child Magazine, The South Carolina Review, Louisiana Literature, Two Hawks Quarterly, Westview, The Huffington Post, and much more. She's been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her memoir, '' Dog Medicine, My Dog Saved Me By Myself was originally published by Believe Piece Publishing (Nov 2105), subsequently printed by Penguin Books, published July 19, 2016.
She resides in Northern California with her husband, two kids, and little menagerie of critters. Mostly avoid judgement she only tries to be kind to animals and people, love nature, and compose.
