White Read Aloud Honor Book, SCBWI Golden Kite Award winner, along with NY Times and ALSC Notable novel.

Kate is a former middle school English teacher who also writes professional growth books for teachers, including REAL REVISION: AUTHORS' STRATEGIES TO SHARE WITH STUDENT WRITERS along with 59 REASONS TO WRITE. Kate resides on Lake Champlain with her loved ones, where she likes swimming in the summer spending time outside biking, trekking, biking and skiing in the winter.
