Kat Vancil climbed up in the heart of Silicon Valley, California where she amused herself by telling tales to anyone around her#x2014;her loved ones, her friends, random strangers…cats. Eventually she began writing those stories down instead of hanging out in imitation Ikea living rooms and telling them to her pals.

A valiant crusader such as diversity, Kat blends budding culture, emerging science, and even fantastical creatures to craft her sudden coming-of-age tales of daemon royalty, super-tech, along with shifter deities. Kat still resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, two quite mad studio cats, along with eight overfull bookcases. And when not running amuck at the fanciful worlds in her mind, she can normally be found frolicking in overall geekiness.
