Dr. Katharine Brooks is a career counselor and coach who specializes in helping students transition from school to career. She is currently the Evans Family Executive Director of the Career Center at Vanderbilt University. Prior to Vanderbilt, she was the Executive Director of the Office of Personal and Career Development at Wake Forest University, the Director of Liberal Arts Career Services for The University of Texas in Austin, and also the Director of Career Services at Dickinson College at Carlisle, PA.. She received the Kauffman Award by the National Association of Colleges and Employers for her contributions to the career services area. She was also named one of the "10 Most Visionary" people in career services in a poll by CSO Research. She's got a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling, and a bachelor's degree in sociology from Gettysburg College and a doctorate in psychology from West Virginia University.
