Kathleen had an early career in newspapers and also a 10-year stint as a foreign correspondent in Asia and Africa for ABC and CNN before returning to the U.S. to embark on a new career for a medical writer, editor and writer.

For 2 decades, Kathleen composed the weekly all-natural health column for Woman’s World magazine, also she's been part of the effort to boost public consciousness of the subject of natural wellness for more than thirty decades, as a writer, life coach and Pilates instructor.

Her passion for wellness and sustainable living has its own roots in the first days of their natural health movement. She eventually became a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher in the early 1970s at a time when yoga was believed “weird. ” she acknowledges that she had been about the fringes of the yoga wave, the increasing public awareness of healthy living and also a variety of formerly ridiculed all-natural therapeutic modalities which have been clinically validated and adopted by mainstream medicine and broadly accepted by society.

Kathleen and her husband, Joe, live in a really rural and “ stunningly beautiful” bamboo home in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Western North Carolina, seven kilometers from a town of 6,000 individuals. They are caretakers of one beautiful acre of land, two horses, two dogs and a cat that is sizable. Different grandchildren and other extended family brighten the landscape from time to time helpers with the vegetable and plant gardens.

Kathleen and Joe spend their leisure time their horses, gardening and in an assortment of Earth-related spiritual pursuits.
