After working in television news production and public relations, I joined forces with my brother Ross and we composed our first published book, a romance novel, happily under a pseudonym (which will remain unsaid…-RRB-. Ever since then, we have focused on non-fiction, including humor (such as the national best selling page-a-day calendar The 365 Stupidest Things Ever Said —currently in its 24th season), inspirational quotation publications, and books for "sentence folks," enjoy our latest job, the New York Times bestseller "You Are It Wrong."

On the non-work side of things, I'm a noir movie & novel fiend, a wine lover, a pulp artwork collector, a terrible joke aficionado, a word nut, a quotation fan, and (I have to confess) a sometimes annoying grammar pedant and also a committer of really deplorable puns.
