Kathryn Hagen grew up there and in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and was born in Denver Colorado. She left to get the city [New York] when she was seventeen and graduated from Parsons School of Design with a Style Certificate. She finally earned both MBA and her BFA in Alternative Mediums at Otis College of Art and Design, and studied painting at the Art Student's League, where she's taught fashion drawing to the last 26 decades. She has been lucky enough to train and operate as teachers in this program with many of her gifted former students. She can a design for picture and also functions as a illustrator.
Her first book with Prentice Hall, "Fashion Illustration for Designers", is sold all over the world and has been translated into Chinese and Korean. Because fashion is more than clothing, Kathryn also collaborated on a selection of essays with Parme Giuntini, known as "Garb, '' A Fashion and Culture Reader". She has plans for more drawing textbook jobs, and is presently working on a book about style portfolios.
