Kent Merritt is an author, screenwriter, and songwriter. He also worked as a ghostwriter on several screenplays for an independent movie production company in Studio City, California. He's also supplied initial content for various entertainment sites over the last several years. After multiple years of struggling to do it the Hollywood way, Kent chose to reassess his priorities, go back into his Oklahoma roots and is now on a much better religious path.

The first two books from the Zen Christian show document his religious adventures as a priest of truth and wisdom, and how combining what he's heard in zen meditation became an effective process in enriching his Christian walk.

Influenced by authors as varied as Ray Bradbury, Hunter S. Thompson, and Kenneth Hagin, Kent proceeds to search and discover new strategies to encourage everyone to better experience and express their religion and their beliefs, and the way acknowledging a higher power increases imagination.
